Business network

Work with other companies without opening your doors

Two logictra companies connect through a tunnel. Only the part of each operation that one decides to share with the other travels through it. Everything else (margins, costs, clients, internal rates) stays where it was.

The connection

How two companies connect

  1. Each one has the other in its directory

The connection starts from the other company's record in your own directory, with your internal references. There is no public list of companies.
  2. One of them issues a connection code

The code is shown only once. logictra only stores its fingerprint; it can expire and stops working as soon as it is used.
  3. The other one redeems it

Redeeming it opens the tunnel between both companies. The opening is recorded in each company's audit log and in the platform's.
  4. Each one decides what to share

From then on, each company chooses which records it assigns to the tunnel and which fields of each type the other one sees.

What travels through the tunnel

Records that can be shared

Operations

The other company can take the operation in as its own record and keep working on it.

Orders

An order reaches the other company, which accepts it, rejects it or makes a counter-offer.

Trips

Trip status reaches whoever ordered the transport without having to ask for it.

Close-out for invoicing

The service close-out reaches whoever has to invoice or pay.

Privacy

What the other company sees, and what it doesn't

Field allow-list

For each record type you choose which fields go out. A field that isn't on the list doesn't go out, and neither does a new field until you add it.

Pseudonyms

Internal identifiers never leave: each tunnel uses its own. Your clients and suppliers appear under an alias unless you decide to reveal their identity.

Mirror copy with history

The other company works on a read-only copy that updates with every change. Each version is stored with its differences and a fingerprint that shows it hasn't been altered.

Verified delivery

Each change is delivered with retries if the other party doesn't respond, outdated versions are discarded and the fingerprint is checked before applying it.

Revocation

Closing a connection deletes nothing

Either company can close the connection, stating the reason. The tunnel closes for both at that moment and pending deliveries are discarded.

Mirror copies stop updating and are archived: regular users no longer see their content and only whoever manages connections can look it up. Whatever the other company took in as its own remains its own.

Good to know

Before you start

  • Connecting companies requires both of them to use logictra. You work with everyone else from your directory, as you do today.
  • Records are assigned to the tunnel one by one. There is no automatic rule-based distribution.
  • The tunnels screen in the application currently shows collaborations, what has been received and activity. Pairing and assignment from the interface are under development.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the network

Can the other company see my margins?

No. Only the fields you put on each record type's list go out. Costs, internal rates and margins are not on any list by default.

What happens if a company stops working with me?

Either of you closes the connection. Access ends for both and whatever was shared stays archived, never deleted.

Can I change what I share later?

Yes. The field policy is versioned; when you change it, whatever was already assigned is sent again under the new policy.

Connect your supply chain without losing control of your data

In the demo we show you an operation shared between an importer, a freight forwarder and a haulier.
