A zone-based haul isn't calculated like a waiting-time surcharge. In logictra each rate type has its own form, table and calculation, and an engine whose only job is to decide which one applies to each service.

Seven ways to price a transport service
Distance-band haul
Fixed price per band of commercial kilometres.
Per-km haul
Price per kilometre with rounding, minimums and an application band.
Surcharges
Per concept (ADR, waiting, weighing, tolls…): percentage, amount, per unit or at cost.
Supplements
By calendar condition: night work, weekend or public holiday.
Fuel
Price review based on diesel price changes.
Return trips
Price of the return leg linked to a haul.
Versions
Changing a price doesn't erase the previous one
- Each rate is either a sale or a cost rate and applies generally, to a counterparty, a file, an order or a purchase order.
- A price change creates a new version from a given date. The previous one stays in the history with its validity closed.
- The database prevents two versions of the same rate from overlapping in time.
- A version that has already been applied to a service cannot be modified.
Simulator
Check the price before committing to it
The simulator prices a service without saving anything: which rate applies and why, the breakdown of concepts, whether it falls on a holiday or at night, and the margin between sale and cost.
That way you can test a new rate against real cases before it reaches a quote.
Quotes
From accepted quote to operation
Margin traffic light
Each quote shows the margin on the sale. Your company sets the thresholds for loss, low margin and healthy margin.
Frozen sent version
When it's sent to the client, the quote is frozen in a version that no longer changes and carries its fingerprint.
Acceptance creates the work
When you record that the client accepts, logictra creates the operation, one service per line and a draft purchase order for each supplier.
