How it works

One import, four companies, a single operation

Fulano Importaciones is bringing microwave ovens from Valencia to its warehouse in Coslada. Mengano Tránsitos handles clearance and freight, Transportes Carlos provides the truck and Almacenes Zutano receives the goods. This is how it looks in logictra.

Step by step

What each company does

  1. The forwarder quotes

Mengano prepares the quote with its rates and sees the margin on the traffic light. When Fulano accepts, logictra creates the operation, its services and a purchase order for each supplier.
  2. The operation is shared

Mengano and Fulano are connected by a tunnel. Fulano sees the operation's progress in its own workspace with the fields Mengano shares; the price Mengano pays the haulier is not among them.
  3. The goods are cleared

The import declaration is validated in layers, a person approves it and it is submitted with the importer's certificate. Every status, from draft to release, is visible.
  4. The haulier receives the order

Mengano's order reaches Transportes Carlos as received. Carlos accepts it or counter-offers line by line, and sees pick-up, delivery, packages and weight, without the value of the goods.
  5. Trip and warehouse receipt

The trip moves through its statuses until it is validated and closed. At the warehouse, the receipt records the truck's arrival, intake, unloading and departure, each step with its time.
  6. Each one invoices the next

Mengano closes its pro forma to Fulano and Holded issues the legal invoice with Mengano's account. Nobody sees anybody else's margins.

The difference

The same import, with and without logictra

Without logictra

  • Each company opens its own file and copies the data from the previous one's email.
  • The importer asks about release; the haulier asks when it can collect.
  • The forwarder sends the haulier the whole document, values included.

With logictra

  • The operation is born from the accepted quote and moves between companies on a single data model.
  • Each company sees progress in its own workspace, with the fields the other one shares.
  • The haulier sees what it needs for the trip and nothing else.
